NAPLES, FL (September 2013) – Mark your calendars, as you will not want to miss this year’s final “SummerJazz on the Gulf” concert, which will be held in Naples on Saturday, September 21, 2013, from 7-10 p.m. Entertainment at the free concert will be provided by The Betty Fox Band, which will be performing at SummerJazz for the first time. Conducted on The Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club’s picturesque Watkins Lawn overlooking the Gulf of Mexico, the fun, family-friendly concert series combines live jazz music with truly beautiful Gulf views, gorgeous sunsets over the water, cool breezes, and a relaxing atmosphere. This marks the 28th consecutive year of the popular summer concert series.
Hotel guests will receive complimentary parking at the resort. For those not staying at the resort parking is available just north of the hotel at Lowdermilk Park, with parking complimentary for those with a Naples beach sticker, and free trolley service to the resort and back. The Betty Fox Band, which is known for its blues and funk-infused soul, is led by fiery songstress Betty Fox. The band also features musical heavyweights Josh Nelms on guitar, Matt Walker on bass, and Sam Farmer on drums. The band was voted “Best of the Bay” as Tampa/St. Petersburg’s “Best Local Blues Act” in a reader’s poll by Creative Loafing. The band has opened for such artists as Mavis Staples, Damon Fowler, and Roosevelt Collier of The Lee Boys. This will mark the fourth and final concert in this year’s SummerJazz concert series. The Summer Concert series kicked off on June 15, 2013, with a vibrant show by The Alan Darcy Group. That was followed by a concert by the always-popular Late Night Brass on July 20, 2013. The August 24, 2013 concert featured an energizing performance by Vodkanauts.

The concert will feature full bar service in several locations and a food concession with a selection of snack items and freshly grilled burgers, hot dogs, and grilled chicken sandwiches.
