. . . Just Like The Resort’s “SummerJazz on the Gulf” Concert Series, The Concert Is Free and Open To The Public

NAPLES, FL (October 2012) – Mark your calendars. The Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club will host a free outdoor Holiday Concert from 6-9 p.m. on Saturday, December 15, 2012. To be conducted on the resort’s picturesque Sunset Courtyard overlooking the Gulf of Mexico, the event will feature live entertainment by the popular and versatile 10-piece band Late Night Brass. The band, which is a true crowd-pleaser and has performed at the resort’s SummerJazz on the Gulf concert series each of the past four years, will perform holiday music and other popular tunes. Just like SummerJazz on the Gulf, the Holiday Concert is free, family-friendly and open to the public. This marks the second consecutive year the Southwest Florida resort is conducting the free holiday concert.

Late Night Brass is a high-energy band that features a powerful four-piece horn section, a skilled four-piece rhythm section (keyboard, guitar, bass and drums), a dynamic male vocalist, and a very talented female vocalist. The band will primarily play holiday music at the event, but also may include songs from such popular horn bands as Chicago, Earth Wind & Fire, Tower of Power, Blood Sweat & Tears, and the Doobie Brothers. The band has opened up for Chicago, Chris Botti, Huey Lewis & The News, Billy Joel & Elton John, Michael Bublé, Earth Wind & Fire, and Sting & The Police. For band information, visit www.latenightbrass.us.

“Late Night Brass always puts on a wonderful show, and is consistently one of our most popular bands at SummerJazz,” said Jim Anderson, food & beverage director of The Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club. “The band did a great job at last year’s Holiday Concert. Like last year, the band will primarily perform holiday music, but will also play some of their regular music as well. We are very pleased that they will be performing at the Holiday Concert again this year, which we plan to become an annual tradition.”

Complimentary valet parking will be provided to those staying at the resort, as well as to those attending the holiday concert. Guests may bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating, however outside food & beverage is not permitted. Call (239) 261-2222 for additional information and directions.

A great way to experience the concert is to start the evening with dinner at the resort’s beachfront restaurant H.B’s on the Gulf, or at the resort’s recently renovated and expanded Sunset Beach Bar & Grill. Serving fresh Florida seafood and traditional American favorites, HB’s on the Gulf is the city of Naples’ only beachfront restaurant. The Sunset Beach Bar & Grill now features an open-air grill, an expanded menu, a larger bar area, new décor with comfortable new furniture, and an expanded patio area.

For those wishing to stay at the resort that weekend, there will be a special “Holiday Concert Rate” of $119 per room, per night, plus tax, for Collier and Lee County residents. The rate is based on availability. For information, or reservations, call (800) 237-7600 or (239) 261-2222.

Continually enhancing its already-impressive offerings, the 125-acre resort is on target to complete its latest phase of renovations and enhancements by the end of 2012. This phase includes the opening of The Everglades Room, a new Gulf-view ballroom that will be dedicated for weddings, corporate events, banquets, and social events. Located where the resort’s Everglades Dining Room (which served breakfast) was situated, the beautifully-enhanced The Everglades Room will feature a wall of windows that will provide incredible views of the Gulf. Breakfast is now being served in the resort’s Broadwell’s Restaurant, overlooking the championship golf course.

This latest phase of renovations also includes the complete renovation of the remaining guest rooms in the resort’s Florida Wing. When that project is complete, which also is expected by the end of 2012, all of the resort’s 317 guest rooms and suites will have been renovated and remodeled over the last three years.

In addition, the resort will complete the renovation of its Gulf-side meeting rooms.

This $5 million latest phase of improvements follows $40 million spent by the resort over the last five years. That multi-phase project included the renovation and remodeling of the other guest rooms and suites, enhancements to the golf course, the renovation and expansion of The Sunset Beach Bar and Grill, and the addition of a beautiful beachfront pool complex (with two new pools, two new whirlpools, a new pool bar with food service, new restrooms, new locker facilities, and a new pool shop).

Owned and operated by the Watkins family for more than 65 years, The Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club features a wealth of on-site amenities, which includes a championship golf course, a world-class spa, the Mary C. Watkins Tennis Center with six Har-Tru courts, a complete fitness center, the professionally-supervised Beach Kids Club child activity program for children ages 5-12, an Orchid House, multiple restaurants and bars, 34,000 square feet of indoor meeting and event space, and many beautiful outdoor venues.

The Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club is located at 851 Gulf Shore Blvd. North in Naples. Contact the resort at (800) 237-7600 or (239) 261-2222, or visit www.NaplesBeachHotel.com .
