Amy Jacobsen Named Sales Manager At The Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club In Southwest Florida

NAPLES, FL (October 2012) – Amy Jacobsen has joined The Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club as Sales Manager. In her new position, she is responsible for sales efforts for the 125-acre beachfront resort to the association and corporate markets, with a focus on the Mid-Atlantic and West U.S. regions. The 317-room resort is Southwest Florida’s only resort directly on the beach with an on-site championship golf course, a world-class spa, and an award-winning tennis center. The resort, which is a consistent recipient of many of the meetings industry’s highest honors, features 34,000 square feet of meeting and event space, and many beautiful outdoor venues.

A 13-year hospitality industry veteran, Jacobsen most recently served as National Sales Manager at the Loews Don CeSar Hotel in St. Pete Beach, Florida. Prior to that, she served as Area Sales Manager for LXR Luxury Resorts & Hotels, where she represented three hotels in Fort Lauderdale, Florida: Hyatt Regency Pier Sixty-Six, the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Grande Hotel & Yacht Club, and the Bahia Mar Beach Resort & Yachting Center. A recipient of such meeting industry awards as Meetings Focus South magazine’s “Best of the South Award,” the resort offers a variety of venues for meetings and receptions. The resort features 34,000 square feet of meeting space, most with an impressive view overlooking the championship golf course. Venue options at the resort include the 6,283-square-foot River of Grass Ballroom, the 2,457-square-foot Mangrove Ballroom, and such scenic outdoor venues as the Watkins Lawn and the Ocean Lawn.

Continually enhancing its already-impressive offerings, the 125-acre resort is on target to complete its latest phase of renovations and enhancements by the end of 2012. This phase includes the opening of The Everglades Room, a new Gulf-view ballroom that will be dedicated for weddings, corporate events, banquets, and social events. Located where the resort’s Everglades Dining Room (which served breakfast) was situated, the beautifully-enhanced The Everglades Room will feature a wall of windows that will provide incredible views of the Gulf. Breakfast is now being served in the resort’s Broadwell’s Restaurant, overlooking the championship golf course.

This latest phase of renovations also includes the complete renovation of the remaining guest rooms in the resort’s Florida Wing. When that project is complete, which also is expected by the end of 2012, all of the resort’s 317 guest rooms and suites will have been renovated and remodeled over the last three years.

In addition, the resort will complete the renovation of its Gulf-side meeting rooms.

This $5 million latest phase of improvements follows $40 million spent by the resort over the last five years. That multi-phase project included the renovation and remodeling of the other guest rooms and suites, enhancements to the golf course, the renovation and expansion of The Sunset Beach Bar and Grill, and the addition of a beautiful beachfront pool complex (with two new pools, two new whirlpools, a new pool bar with food service, new restrooms, new locker facilities, and a new pool shop).

To further showcase all of the changes made, the resort recently unveiled a new website at www.naplesbeachhotel.com which is filled with interactive resources and features that are designed to help meeting planners. This includes resource manuals and brochures, room and suite layouts, menus, and the online RFP form.
