NAPLES, FL (April 2015) – A popular Southwest Florida tradition continues, as The Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club will again host its annual “SummerJazz on the Gulf” concert series. This will mark the 30th consecutive year of the fun, free, and family-friendly concert series, which combines festive Jazz entertainment with truly beautiful views of the Gulf of Mexico, extraordinary sunsets, cool breezes, and a relaxing atmosphere. Each concert is held on the family-owned resort’s picturesque Watkins Lawn overlooking the Gulf. “SummerJazz on the Gulf” will take place one Saturday evening per month June-September, and each concert will be from 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. This year’s concerts will be on Saturday, June 27; Saturday, July 18; Saturday, August 15; and Saturday, September 19, 2015.

Each concert will be held from 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. on the Watkins Lawn. Hotel guests will receive complimentary parking at the resort. The Betty Fox Band will kick-off this year’s “SummerJazz on the Gulf” concert series on Saturday, June 27, 2015. Known for its blues and funk-infused soul, the band is led by fiery songstress Betty Fox. The band was an International Blues Challenge finalist (in the top 8 of 150 bands), and is a two-time winner of Creative Loafing’s “Best of the Bay”as Tampa/St. Petersburg’s “Best Local Blues Act” in a reader’s poll. The band has opened for such artists as Mavis Staples, The Legendary JC’s, Damon Fowler, The Meter Men, and Roosevelt Collier of The Lee Boys. The Danny Sinoff Band will headline the Saturday, July 18, 2015 concert. Performing for the first time at SummerJazz, the band is a gifted contemporary and progressive music ensemble that mixes Jazz, Blues and Swing with funky rhythms. Under the direction of the talented Danny Sinoff, who is known for his unique and soulful vocal styling, the band performs standards by the Gershwins, Cole Porter, Berlin, and Van Heusen. Sinoff has performed all over the world with such top jazz artists as The Brubeck Brothers Quartet, David “Fathead” Newman, Jimmy McGriff, Sweet Georgia Brown, and Jimmy Norman. Pocket Change will perform on Saturday, August 15, 2015. The talented 6-piece, high-energy show band performs Motown, Funk, R&B Variety, Soul, and Dance/Party music. Known for their beautiful vocals and harmonies, and for their showmanship, Pocket Change is led by Bandleader Eddie “The Thrill” Carmichael and Music Director Otis “Maestro” McCarthy. The band has opened for Sean Paul, Journey, Blue Oyster Cult, Paul Revere and The Raiders, Cheap Trick, and Joan Jett and The Blackhearts. They have
performed at the Coconut Grove Arts Festival, Universal Studios Florida, Seminole Casino, Walt Disney World®, and House of Blues (in Orlando and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina). This season’s final SummerJazz concert on Saturday, September 19, 2015, will feature the very popular and versatile 11-piece band Late Night Brass. Returning to SummerJazz for the seventh consecutive year, this high-energy band features a powerful four-piece horn section (saxophone, two trumpets, and trombone), a driving five-piece rhythm section (keyboard, guitar, bass, drums, and Latin percussion), a dynamic male vocalist, and a very talented female vocalist. They will perform a range of songs from such popular horn bands as Chicago, Earth Wind & Fire, Kool & The Gang, KC & The Sunshine Band, and Blood Sweat & Tears. The band also plays songs from such groups as Huey Lewis & The News, The Blues Brothers, Commodores, and Doobie Brothers. The band has opened up for Chicago, Chris Botti, Huey Lewis & The News, Billy Joel & Elton John, Michael Bublé, and Earth Wind & Fire. The concert is being sponsored by D.
