Pictured with Kirsten are three Knight Anoles that were discovered living in some of our largest trees on the golf course. We didn’t know of their existence until several fell to the ground during a brief cold period this past winter. Kirsten collected them, carefully warmed them back up and then successfully released them back at their home trees. |
A dimension of the resort that is often less noticed is the quantity and diversity of the wildlife found here on our grounds. Our golf course is a sanctuary to a wide variety of animals, birds, reptiles and amphibians, while our beach is home to many shore birds and is often a favorite nesting spot for loggerhead sea turtles.
