Good Earthkeeping - Our Orchids

The Orchid Program at The Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club began in 1991 with six plants and little knowledge. Currently the collection numbers approximately 5,000 plants and requires the care of a full-time horticulturist (Monica Higgins) and the controlled environment of a large Orchid House.

Orchids from the collection are beautifully displayed throughout the public areas of the resort. Full, blooming plants are also used to enhance many of our catered events. Blooming sprigs are cut and displayed in bud vases throughout our restaurants.

In addition to displaying the beauty of these fascinating plants, we offer weekly tours of our Orchid House, provide classes on orchid care and, on occasion, welcome world renowned experts to lecture resort and local guests interested in expanding their knowledge.
